Audubon-a-Thon (October 16, 2006)
Thank you Audubon students and parents for your hard work on the first-ever Audubon-a-thon October 16th. Students and teachers grades pre-K through 8, solicited pledges for and walked laps and laps and laps around the school, while some parents accompanied them and others cheered them on. More than 100 students will receive prizes based on amount of pledges received. The funds raised will go towards improving technology for all grade levels. Final tally of funds raised should be announced in the next week or so, but preliminary reports suggest that we are well on our way to achieving stated goals. Thanks Audubon Parent Janet Ward for organizing and managing all aspects of this very successful event. Thank you notes will be sent to Audubon families within the next week or so with opportunities to provide tax-deductible receipts to donors.
