Ms. Nicholson

"I
received my Bachelor’s Degree from the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I
received my degree in Early Childhood Education
and have a Type 04 teaching certificate. This is
my fourth year at Audubon, in the
tuition-based pre-k classroom, and I couldn’t be happier! Previously, I also
taught Kindergarten at a private Chicago school. Currently, I am working on
my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University.
In the limited amount of free time I have, I enjoy reading, watching movies,
running, and spending time with family and friends. My mission, as an educator, is to help foster a lifelong love for learning in each one of my
students. I strive to be a positive role model for my students. I hope to
encourage them to try new things and learn from their mistakes, as well as
their peers. I incorporate cooperative learning strategies within my
classroom, as well as differentiated learning. Overall, I want my students
to love coming to school every day and to wake up
excited to learn!" --Ms. Nicholson
