Local School Council
Now Accepting Applications for Parent and Community LSC Reps
! Looking to get more involved in the big picture of Audubon? At the end of the 2007-2008 school year, the terms of all 6 parent and 2 community representatives will come to an end. The role of both the community and parent representatives is to, alongside other council members including school staff, advise the principal on school policy issues, specifically related to the budget. The basic time commitment is one evening meeting a month, though some time and preparation go into each meeting as members must read and review the agenda and minutes prior to the meeting. Interested parent representatives must have one or more children attending Audubon, be 18 years of age, not related to anyone employed by CPS. Community representatives need not have children attending Audubon but must live within the Audubon attendance area. If interested, please visit the school office for an application. Voting will occur in April. For more information, please contact Audubon Principal John Price at 773-534-5470 or LSC Chairperson Linda McBride at mcbridelk@aol.com
